CSN/LGiU conference.

Youth participation and the Internet is actually a little strange.

One of the first speakers in the conference was quite old believed he worked for the youth citizenship commission and
to scared to set up a facebook ..madness the guy is at a youth participation and the Internet conference the whole point is to be advanced in working with everyone.

If I recall the best talk (other than ours :)) was by Dr Julia Glidden it was very good the way she explained it and the way things like this must not stick to it being normal ..reaching out is whats going to make a difference especially to those who are young like me and those who are reading this if you can be bothered.

The young advisers of the Mayor Of Lewisham surprised me because they said that young people do not want to talk to youth workers ..yet Norfolkblurb's social networking has about 160 young people signed up by textpal a moderated social networking site so I think they were in depth maybe.. I'm sure they are good though :) sort of.

Our talk went really well and I had to speak and many people complimented it. I was told i was great but sometimes you can't believe your a shooting star of politics and the suchlike...I like building my own hype...Lol.

Devon county council has done stuff based on the Internet as well which is good but two out of loads is bad.

It was very informative but things need to advance..not much has changed since February at the symposium.
